A Pause In Lent (5)

We all experience "dry spells" from time to time, maybe God feels distant, or we feel like we are losing touch with Him.

Sometimes, although our faith remains strong, we have no appetite for God, we just can't bring ourselves to move closer to Him.

In the book of Ezekiel, God gave a vision of a valley of dry bones.  Ezekiel 37 1:14
Ezekiel saw the dry bones come together, and even tendons, muscle and skin cover them, but they were still lifeless.  Not until the breath of God entered into them were they truly alive.

I know some people sharing our Pause in Lent are going through dry spells right now.  I pray that the breath of God will enter into them, that they will be brought back to life, and that they will be renewed during this Lenten season.

Oh, and I couldn't mention Ezekiel and the valley of dry bones without including this...

  1. Thank you for this. A great reminder that people in the Bible went through dry times too x

  2. Thank you! I think my post (finally up tonight) ties in nicely with yours- lots of water!
