10 random things about me

I've seen a few other bloggers do this, including Frugal in Suffolk, so I thought I'd join in.

  1. I'm a licensed amateur radio operator (I don't get to operate much these days.)
  2. I keep tropical fish.
  3. I'm active in trade unionism, and I am the chair of my local trade union branch.
  4. I once shook hands with Bruce Forsyth.
  5. I love Doctor Who.
  6. I'm a season ticket holder at Leicester Tigers - my local rugby team.
  7. I broke my wrist falling off a canal lock (I landed dry side) a few years ago, I've still got a metal plate in my wrist (only a small one).
  8. My favourite rock band is Pink Floyd.
  9. I bought the first ever Now That's What I Call Music album - on vinyl!!
  10. I'm a member of the Campaign for Real Ale.
Anything in there that surprised anyone?

5 - Sylvester McCoy was my favourite for years, but Tennant may have overtaken him.
7 - my left one. Remember when I was in plaster for a while?
