Who Do You Think You Are

I started tracing my family tree on Ancestry.co.uk a while back.

I found it fascinating - not only finding out more about the relatives I already knew, but discovering more distant relatives, and finding out about their lives.

I traced right back to my great-great-great-great grandfather, who was born in 1782 - the website can even let you view the actual census records - he was listed in 1851 as a labourer.

I found some interesting things - a great-great-great grandfather who died in the workhouse in 1918, and a great-great grand uncle who is listed on the 1911 census as a "general dealer" - maybe I'm related to

Also, the husband of one of my great-great grand aunts was called Frederick William Almond - perhaps I'm related to Bob & Ang?!

I like some of the occupations listed - one distant relative was a "Wood Sawyer"!

Anyone else traced their family tree?  Found anything interesting?

  1. Now that IS interesting - to find your family tree has Almond Blossom in it! More research needed here I think xx
