What news of the allotment?

Things are beginning to get busy:

Broad beans are beginning to flower.

One of my colleagues kindly gave me some raspberry canes - they are starting to get established.

Give peas a chance....

Meanwhile, at home waiting to be planted out:

Sweetcorn

Runner beans

We've also got courgettes, marrows, and a few other bits starting to grow in pots.

In addition, it won't be long before we can enjoy the first new potatoes of the year - always something to look forward to.

We've got carrots, beetroot and parsnips planted as well, along with some salad.

I enjoy this time of year, when things are really starting to get going, and we can begin to eat the vegetables we've grown ourselves.
