Extreme pruning

We have a honeysuckle in our back garden - we inherited it from the previous owners.

We hadn't really pruned it, other than a bit of tidying up, and much of it had died - we decided to give it a good cut back, and over the course of 2 weekends, we've cut it right back to the wall:

It's just outside our patio door - there's so much more light now we've cut it back!

I managed to give my arm a bit of a scratch as well:

Occupational hazard when you're gardening!

Hopefully, the honeysuckle will grow back, and we can keep it trained properly this time.

  1. We have planted a honeysuckle this summer to grow over the fence hiding the oil tank. Hoping it thrives there. Sorry about the arm, hope it doesn't affect ukulele practice!
