Strictly Come Dancing

I'm a huge fan of this programme.  I've watched it almost since the beginning.

A couple of years ago, I was lucky enough to get tickets to go and see the show filmed at Television Centre in London - had a fantastic time!!

I've also been to see the touring show on several occasions - always a great night.

I enjoy seeing the celebrities learning as they go along, and I love the elegance of the ballroom dance routines.

This year's batch of contestants has been announced, and paired with their professional dance partners.  It's always fun at this point to speculate on who will last, who will go out early etc.

Judy Murray & Anton du Beke look as though they are going to have fun, Kevin "From Grimsby" Clifton has been partnered with Saturdays' singer Frankie Bridge - Kevin was wonderful last year, so I'm looking forward to seeing them together.

Jake Wood from EastEnders could well be a dark horse.

I'll probably regret this but I'm going to make a few predictions...

Greg Wallace & Tim Wonnacott will go out early.
Thom Evans will continue the tradition of rugby players doing well, will make quarter finals.
As said above, Jake Wood will be the dark horse.
Jennifer Gibley will do well, will be in the second half of the series.
At least one of Mark Wright, Frankie Bridge or Pixie Lott will be in the final.

I'll probably be completely wrong, but if I'm right, remember you heard it here first!!

  1. I don't watch 'Strictly' but fascinated by this line-up. I like Bargain Hunt, so hope Tim isn't out too soon even tho he's a bit antique [will he dance in one of his trademark hats?] My daughter took me for a meal in Greg Wallace's place in Putney, so his dance skills will be interesting. No opinions at all on any of the others!!!
