On Sunday morning, Bob, our minister at KMFC announced that he's looking to move on, feeling that the time is right after 19 years.

He is preaching "with a view" (which basically means that he's being presented to the church as a potential new minister, so that the congregation can meet him, hear him preach etc) at a church in Dorset next Sunday morning.

Of course, this brings challenges to our church, as we seek to find a new minister etc - we need to decide what sort of person we are looking for and seek God's guidance as to how to manage this process.

On one hand, I'm sad.  Bob and Angela have become close friends over the years (it was Ang who inspired me to start blogging - now you know who to blame!), and while we will keep in touch, not least by reading each other's blogs, it won't be the same.

On the other hand, our church will have a new minister, who will bring new ideas, new ways of doing things, and a new style of preaching amongst other things.  Now that's exciting!!

Please keep both Bob and Ang, and KMFC in your prayers as new things happen all round.
