Sunday devotion - Matthew Ch11 v28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Sometimes, we can feel that life is getting on top of us.

The pressures of daily life, our aches and pains, problems at work, problems at home, the bigger things that happen to us from time to time - they all pile up until we can't take any more.

God promises rest from these things - he doesn't promise that our troubles will disappear, but that by coming to Him, we can have respite, even if only for a few moments.

Father God, let us come to you, let us bring our problems before you, and gain your promised rest.
Let us rest in your presence, and let us have respite from the burdens that beset us.
Thank you for your promises, and for your faithfulness to us.
Amen.

Be blessed.
