A Pause In Advent (4)

For the final Pause In Advent, we look at:

The Advent Calendar.

Twenty-four windows, each with a picture and a piece of chocolate behind it.  The more windows that are open, the closer we are to Christmas.
The anticipation grows and grows as we open a new window each day.

As we go through the season of Advent, our anticipation should grow and grow.  We are coming ever closer to the birth of Jesus.

When all the windows are open, and all the chocolate eaten, it's time to celebrate!!
The Advent calendar is done, our tree is up and decorated, we've sent and received our cards, and we can pull our crackers over lunch - all the time remembering and celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah!!!

  1. I love your spirit of celebration here! To be honest I find myself dreading the end of next week! I must finally admit defeat and think about shopping list, stockings and being sociable. I used to be good at sociable! I must keep this post to hand for timely reminders of why I am in the kitchen all week!
