Christmas Day

For unto us a child is born.

Born – going through infanthood and childhood, growing into adulthood the same as you and me.
No special privileges for the son of God – he saw life amongst the lowly, not sheltered from any hardships/

For unto us a son is given.

Given – no charge, no “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”, no conditions attached, but freely and willingly given by God.

Advent has now ended, and Christmas has begun – we can truly celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour.
