Strictly - The Final

After 13 weeks, countless dances, plenty of posh frocks and high heels (and costumes for the women too), the final of this year's Strictly Come Dancing is this Saturday.

Before we get into the finalists, a mention for the losing semi finalist, Jake Wood.
As predicted by a certain blogger back in September, Jake has been the dark horse of the series.  "Snake Hips Jake" had wowed with his latin dances, his ballroom dancing has been smooth, and whilst there's been the odd slip up along the way, he's been a fantastic dancer all the way through and it's a real shame that he's not in the final.

So, to the final itself - let's take a look at the runners and riders...

Simon Webbe:

Not been one of my favourites this year, but he's been a good competitor, and undoubtedly popular - his shock and surprise at surviving the dance off against Pixie Lott was wonderful to see.

Frankie Bridge:

Partnered with Kevinfromgrimsby Clifton, the two of them have made an endearing couple.  Her dances have been fun to watch, and she's clearly enjoyed her Strictly experience.

Mark Wright:

Now we come to the "journey" of the series.  From a start where he could hardly dance at all, Mark has thrilled the crowds week after week,  and he's showed himself to be a likeable personality.

Caroline Flack:

Caroline, whilst having been consistently good, hasn't really set the world on fire during the series.  That said, she's been a good dancer, and deserves her place in the final.

Do I dare to make any more predictions?
OK, I'll have a go.

Simon to go first,
Mark & Caroline as runners up,
Frankie to be Strictly Come Dancing Champion 2014.
