Christmas in Norfolk

We spent Christmas in Upper Sheringham this year, staying in a National Trust property in Sheringham Park.  It was the first time for years that I wasn't working between Christmas and New Year, so we decided to make the most of it.

We arrived on Christmas Eve, quickly unpacked, and went for a walk - just to make sure the sea was there!

Christmas Day was lovely - we opened our pressies, had a nice breakfast, then want for a walk down to the coast path.  The weather was a bit, er, bracing, but it certainly blew the cobwebs away.  There were many other people out for a walk, and it was lovely to wish each other a Merry Christmas as we walked past.

The views from the park were beautiful:

We stayed there until New Year's Eve - spent time just walking, sitting in our cottage reading, and watching telly.

We had a lovely meal with Bob & Ang at Cornerstones while we were there, and took a trip out to Blakeney Point to see the seals:

We went out to Cley, and bought some kippers from the smokehouse for next day's breakfast - lovely.

We had a fantastic time - really relaxing - a lovely way to spend Christmas.
