I always find a new year exciting.
It’s like a completely blank page – waiting to be filled.
What will the new year bring? What will be the big news stories? The sporting achievements? What will be new in music? In entertainment?
Closer to home, what will the new year bring for us? What will be our personal triumphs? Or our personal disasters? (And, in the words of Kipling, will we “treat those two imposters just the same”?).
There’s a whole new year to be lived, a whole year of experiences to be had.
Let’s make it a good one, and let’s ask God for His guidance, to guide us in the way He wants us to live this year.
