Lanercost Priory

Lanercost Priory is an Augustinian Priory, founded by Robert De Vaux in the later part of the 12th century.

Used as a base by both Edward I and Robert the Bruce, the priory is now used as a parish church, whilst the grounds & ruins are in the hands of English Heritage.

Memorial to the 10th Earl of Carlisle

Life size terracotta effigy of Elizabeth Dacre Howard, daughter of the 9th Earl of Carlisle.  She died aged just four months.
